An accomplished Middle Eastern percussionist and multi-instrumentalist with a contemporary flair, originally from Syria, currently residing in Berlin, Germany. As well as performing regularly with Dabke, a production of Sasha Waltz & Guests, he cofounded BAYNATNA, the Arabic-German public library and cultural art space in Berlin, which was awarded “The power of art 2020” and “Active for Democracy & Tolerance 20”. Also, Ali is one of the music curators of Humboldt Forum the new cultural heart of Berlin,” His participation in venues and festivals across Europe has taken him to Germany, Poland, Greece, Spain, and Italy.
